RunCamino
RunCamino is probably the first documentary film about running the Camino del Norte – Europe's oldest pilgrimage route, spanning 835 km from San Sebastián to Santiago de Compostela. It is a unique tale of endurance, a spiritual journey, and the struggle against one's own limitations. The film's main character is Robert Celiński – the best foreign runner in the history of the Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon. This time, instead of battling the heights of the Himalayas, he descends almost to sea level to face a completely different yet equally demanding challenge. Northern Spain greets him with its rugged, mountainous terrain, unpredictable weather, and the endless kilometers of the thousand-year-old Way of Saint James. The film not only portrays the physical effort involved in conquering the route but also the inner journey of the protagonist. Can faith become the driving force in such a difficult challenge? Can a path filled with pain, exhaustion, and moments of doubt bring about spiritual purification? RunCamino is not just a story about running; it is about searching for meaning, pushing past one’s limits, and discovering what truly lies at the end of the road. Award Winner - FICTS 2020.
