KarakoRun
KarakoRun is a moving documentary about the extraordinary challenge of a Polish runner who became the first to attempt a 1000 km run through the extreme terrain of northern Pakistan, along the three highest mountain ranges in the world: the Hindu Kush, the Karakoram, and the Himalayas. This journey is not just a test of endurance—it is a mission to support children battling cancer. As he runs alone through harsh and unpredictable mountain landscapes, the protagonist faces his own weaknesses, extreme weather conditions, and physical and mental exhaustion. However, what keeps him going are the heartfelt video messages from sick children, for whom his run becomes a symbol of hope and determination. KarakoRun raises the question of whether immense physical effort and pushing one's limits can be a metaphor for the fight against illness. It is a story of courage, perseverance, and the search for meaning in an act that has the power to change lives. Finalist - Paladino d’Oro Sport Film Festival 2024.
