The ambitious goal achieved by Aldo, accompained by the inseparable photographer Ottavio Tomasini and, for the occasion, by the filmmaker Luca Venchiarutti, is to paddle along the stretch of river that connects the border between Guinea and Mali to the border between Mali and Niger. This stretch of river has always been called Niger. While Aldo descends the river on his kayak, Ottavio and Luca have documented an intact and unspoiled Africa, being transported on a "pinasse", a typical Malian boat.
